Readings
In the article, Expanding New Literacies, it stated, "the Internet is in a continuous state of becoming." I thought this was a powerful quote. Technology and the internet are constantly changing and we as teachers need to get our students ready to face it. The world's changed, and there is no way a student can learn using the same methods or strategies from years ago. Education should change as the world is changing. I agree with the article that we should be viewing technology as a literacy issue. In doing this, technology standards can be embedded within our current content curriculum. Otherwise, technology seems to be a solo entity and not a backbone for growth or support. Is technology in your curriculum? If so, how strong of a role does it play?
