This article took me by surprise because I couldn't believe I never thought about an author having a blog and using it to enrich a students' engagement into a book. I always hear my team member vent that students have a difficult time making connections whether it be self-to self, self-to-text or so forth, but to actually create a real person to connect to a text seems so logical!
On my search to find blogs of authors dedicated to adolescents, I came across Newington Public Library's teen blog site. Teens recommend and write reviews for other teens about books they have recently read. Talk about a great way to engage students to read-teen to teen!
